I’m a big supporter of independent creatives, and particularly someone forging their way through multimedia. Doug has an impressive history; he has worked on BBC, Channel 4 and Sky productions, and is credited on music videos by Sinead O’Connor and Lana Del Ray. Most impressively for me, Doug oversaw a Make A Wish short in which Sean Bean is chased over a picnic table by a dinosaur. With laser eyes.
Doug’s is a neat, 4 page website with few bells and whistles; the important thing was to give his showreel prime space without cluttering up the rest of the page. We kept things bright and spacious, whilst adding textures here and there that evoke the film/television industry. There are more words on this page than on Doug’s entire steadicam website. To Doug’s credit, his is a more interesting story than mine.
Early in 2015 Doug wished for a revamp, which I was happy to provide. As well as changing the background to a still of his steadicam work, we added a page listing his impressive track record in film and television. Doug has worked for the likes of Jess Glynne, Ed Sheeran, Pixie Lott and the popular Channel 4 show Misfits. Visit his website for a full list of productions.
