We only collect information that is essential to the purpose of designing, building and marketing a website. This includes customers’ names and email addresses for correspondence.

These differ from client to client, but primarily these details include: CMS (Content Management System) usernames and passwords, database usernames and passwords, SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol) usernames and passwords, usernames and passwords to the client’s domain registrar and hosting company, plus usernames and passwords to relevant third-party software e.g. MailChimp, Cloudflare.
This information is kept secure on an encrypted hard drive, the password to which is not shared with anybody other than myself.
Due to the ongoing nature of the client/designer relationship, data can be required long after a project is finished e.g. for routine maintenance, troubleshooting, website updates, site outages.
Between the 1st – 10th April every year, I hold an annual data review. If we have not corresponded in the 12 months leading to that date, your data will automatically be deleted from the system. You are also welcome to request that your data is deleted at any time – see below.

We keep a small mailing list that sends out occasional tips and marketing messages. Subscribers are managed via Mailchimp on a double opt in basis. At any time subscribers can opt out of these messages by clicking on the email footers, or by emailing me directly at bruce@phasethreegoods.co.uk.
